Leopold Hotels introduce enhanced amenities and added security features for female guests travelling alone.
The Leopold Hotel Group have introduced an enhanced offering for their lone female guests. Under their new guidelines, Leopold Hotels will ensure that lone female travellers are never allocated a room on the ground floor of the building. Rooms must be positioned on a higher floor and situated within a well-lit corridor, never in an isolated area. Bedroom doors are fitted with a spy hole and an additional security bar or chain. The front desk is manned 24 hours per day and all hotel staff have been trained to ensure a female guest’s room number will never be mentioned out loud.
In addition to the enhanced security features, female guests will enjoy luxurious bathroom products, a salon quality hairdryer, full length mirror and a choice of herbal teas as standard in their guest room. Room service will be available and will include additional healthy options for ladies who want to maintain their healthy lifestyle when travelling away from home.
Commenting on the new offering, Michael Skehan, General Manager Leopold Hotel Sheffield said “We are seeing a steady increase in the number of female guests staying alone while travelling on business. While both men and women are concerned with safety and comfort, we find that women guests see it as more of a priority and so appreciate small things that are done to address their anxieties and improve their guest experience. These new standards will help address those concerns. ”
